Want link to subsite on main menu

    I have several subdirectory sites on a multisite network and would like to include menu items on the main site menu that link to the main pages of the subsites. So a link to “community” on the main.com site would go to main.com/community. When I add this as a link the ink goes to main.com, not main.com/community. What do I need to do to go where I want?

    If you are using the WordPress menu under appearances, you can add custom link and just put in the url of the sub site in there with custom name.

    I try and do that for each main page of the subsites and get the result above. I go to appearances- menu – link – and enter the url main.com/subsite and it just goes to main.com when the link is clicked.

    Mika, yes I did remember the https:// so what is in the URL box of the link when I go appearances — menu — link is https://main.com/subsite1. When I click the link it is on the main.com page but it looks like it is working and refreshing but it just reloads main.com.

    Ah! Adding the www in fixed the problem. I’m new at WordPress and am still figuring the little things out that make life easier, like checking permalink every time I get an unexpected 404, and now this lol. Thanks so much! ??
