Want thumbnails to be full proportions, not cropped

I am using the free version of Master Slider with the gallery that has horizontal thumbnails at the bottom of the gallery. I would like to know how to make the proportions of the thumbnails the same as the original proportions of each image, and none of the thumbnail background size settings have done this. Does anyone have a solution?
