Want to divide my middle column into two sections- help!

  • I am using the Atahualpa theme. I’d like my center column to have two separate sections, next to each other vertically, so I can have a left side bar, then two areas where different posts or pages can be inserted, then a right sidebar (similar to a newspaper type layout).

    Example:

    Sidebar POST A with photo POST B with photo Sidebar

    Any advice on plugins or code to make this happen? I have been searching off and on for about two weeks! I’d like to do this all over most of my site; not just on one page.

    Will do that as well! I was hoping someone knew of a generic plugin or code that would do the trick. Thanks for responding!

    Also, the plugins I found look great, but are only compatible with earlier WP versions (I am using 3.3.1). Is it ok to try a 3.2 compatible plug in with WP 3.3.1 and see if it works? Or will it blow up my site?
