Want to get better at wordpress. Where do I start?

Be aware that your customizations will be over-written the next time you upgrade. For this reason, consider creating a Child Theme.

If you don’t want to learn any languages, then you’re out of luck. ??

If all you want to do is edit pages, look at osme of the common page builder themes/plugins. They’ll do what you want and you won’t need to learn too much new stuff. Jsut be aware that they can be limited in a few ways, but you’ll find out how that affects you as you go along.

To do it yourself, the basics that you need are CSS and some rudimentary HTML and JavaScript. The main look of any site in controlled mainly by CSS, so that’s a good place to start.

If you want to get into you you’ll need to know CSS, HTML, JavaScript (jQuery and React now to build Bocks) and a good deal of PHP.

Thanks guys, I didn’t say I don’t want to learn any languages. I just don’t want to start in the deep end. I’ll start, as you say catacaustic, with CSS and work from there. Thanks for your help.
