    When creating my pages I’ve disabled Discussion option, as a result when clicking on a page, at the bottom of it I get the following piece of text:
    Both comments and pings are currently closed. I want to get rid of that piece of text, since it gives the erroneous idea that comments are not longer possible anywhere in the blog, when in fact that option is available at the bottom of every post. Any suggestions as to how to do it?

  • that depends on the theme;

    – theme name and download link?

    general:
    try to look into comments.php and see if you can find the text.

    I’m using the Simplicity theme by Lai Zit Seng and have downloaded it directly from WordPress Themes. I have looked at Comments.php but can’t find the text (my knowledge of coding is very limited). Could you give me some directions?

    in that particular theme, you can find the text in page.php –

    easiest way is probably to delete just the text
    Both comments and pings are currently closed.

    or turn it into a html comment, like so:
    <!--Both comments and pings are currently closed.-->

    Spot on! Many thanks. I took advantage of it, and add a text directing readers to the comment form. My website address is:
