Want to get rid of ugly black bar (with 'home' and 'search')

    I’ve got the twenty eleven theme, with the light background. I want to get rid of the ugly black bar, the ‘home’ button that’s in it, and its particular search bar. I don’t want to get rid of all search bars. I still want to be able to add my own search bar widget in the side bar in a different spot.

    Can anyone help?
