Want to put banner ad on header, need help

We are a new blog that needs your help!

We would like to place a banner ad at the top of our WP site but we do not know if there is a plugin for this. Of course, we don’t want the banner ad to overlap the name of our blog in the header.

1) What size of ad would fit into the plugin once installed?

Also, we would like to place ads at the beginning or end of each post after the reader clicks on the post.

1) Is there a plugin for this?
2) We have read that only 3 Ad sense ads can be placed per page. How would this be an issue on our blog?

We currently have Ad Manager and Easy Ad sense plugins installed but have had limited success using these plugins. There is always some kind of formatting issue, where the ad somehow doesn’t fit properly into the post.
