want to replace CART text everywhere on wocomerce with basket

Use a WooCommerce language translation file to do it – that’ll make it effect site-wide. The WooCommerce docs explain the basics of what needs to be done for translations.

woocommerce-en_GB.po you talking about this file i have tried to change text here as well but nothing happened on the front end kindly guide me what exactly i need to change in this file if this is the file you are talking about

i just needed to replace the text when i add product in a basket a floating bar pop ups with written on it ITEM ADDED TO CART! i changed language but this text hasn’t changed

i found the solution myself i needed to change the text in functions.php file

I really need help with this too and am ripping my hair out!

PLEASE could someone provide a step by step? I’ve had look at the WooCommerce documentation but either it’s not working for me or more likely, I’ve done the wrong thing. If vikkiranag is still around it would be great to know what s/he added to functions.php

There seems to be a few of these posts, but the basics of changing references from ‘cart’ to ‘basket’ is really easy to do, as a localisation file is built into WooCommerce. See my instructions on this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/update-cart-button

Dashboard : Plugin > Editor
Select plugin to edit: Woocommerce

Also a good point to note to all using the localisation plugin to update woocommerce terms, is to select non case-sensitive when searching as some instances of add to cart are capitalised. This will save a few gray hairs… ??

@ms2web – if you edit the plugin directly you’ll lose your changes if you then update the plugin.
