    Hi @anweb,

Does your Portfolio post type use the regular Category taxonomy or does it use a custom taxonomy? If you don’t know the answer to that question, how did you create the Portfolio post type? Via plugin? Or did you use a PHP code snippet?

    Hi,
For sure I don’t understand. In Avada theme they have portfolio and also portfolio category so I just add a category like you do for post. It looks like this the link to the category if that is some help https://new.joy4life.se/portfolio_category/behandlingar/

    Thanks,
    Annika

Unfortunately that URL is password protected, I can’t access it.

    Try this instead:

    1. Hover over the Portfolio menu and click on Categories (or similar) to access your Portfolio Categories.

    2. Hover over the category you want to use with WPP and click on Edit. You should see something like this:

    Category Edit Screen

Take note of the URL on the address bar of your browser. You should see two parameters in there, taxonomy and tag_ID: taxonomy is the name of your Portfolio Category taxonomy, and tag_ID is the ID of the Portfolio Category you want to use.

    3. Go back to the Widgets screen and open the WPP widget to access its options. Under Taxonomy find the taxonomy field with the same name as the one from the taxonomy parameter you saw on the previous step and put the ID in there.

    WPP widget's taxonomy field

    4. Finally, scroll down and click on Save to apply changes.

This is what I had put and it doesn’t work, that’s why I wrote to you in the first place and if you looked at my screen prints you see where I put it so how can I do it?

I put 23 in the Portfolio Categories (portfolio_category) field and here is the link for the category

    https://new.joy4life.se/wp-admin/term.php?taxonomy=portfolio_category&tag_ID=23&post_type=avada_portfolio&wp_http_referer=%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit-tags.php%3Ftaxonomy%3Dportfolio_category%26post_type%3Davada_portfolio

You’re using the wrong post type name. According to your URL it should be avada_portfolio (notice the post_type parameter in there?)
