• I’m helping to set up a WP.org site. I want to have an entire page (or a sticky post) show up as the home page. Right now I only see an excerpt.

What is the best way to show a static home page?

For example: The front page shows an except, without an image. What they want is something like this page.

    I’ve been fiddling with
    the theme,
Settings > Reading > Front page displays,
    WP-Sticky plug-in

    Thank you very much.

  • Settings > Reading > Front page displays
    – static page ==> select which one, an existing Page!

    That’s the way.

Argh! I could have sworn that I tried that at least twice, but nevertheless, that’s my problem and more importantly, it’s working. THANK YOU.

I will dutifully print out and re-read the “Pages” link in the codex again because I must have misunderstood something.

    Thank you for answering!
