Want to use “up arrow” for the close button

When I first added this notification bar, it was displaying an “up arrow” for the close button.

Now it has changed to a small “x” and no matter how many times I change the settings, I cannot figure out how to make the “up arrow” appear again.

Does anyone know how to make the “up arrow” appear for the close button?
