Warning about Intense Debate plugin

    I installed the new Intensedebate plugin and then decided I didn’t like it. I deleted it and now I cannot log on to my wordpress site. I receive an HTTP 500 error message and when I contacted my server, Omnis, they determined that my problem could be traced to the plugin. I would not recommend installing this, even thought WordPress did recommend it. Now Omnis is trying to fix the situation but so far, no good.

    Very doubtful it’s a problem with the plugin; it’s your host. Look for bug/issue reports for Intensedebate and you’ll find very few. “500 Server Errors” are just that: server errors. If you didn’t completely delete the plugin or there was a problem with the plugin, you would have gotten a php error pointing to the directory, not a server error.
