    Hi,

The warning for missing sources do not go away after I have added the sources for all the images. Even after I log in and log out, the warning is still there. I also tried to uncheck ‘Warn about missing sources’ and re-check it, it still does not go away.

I do not want to turn off the function as sometimes I will forget to add the source when inserting images so I need this reminder.

    How do I resolve this?

    Hey @lioioil,

I am wondering if this is related to the Polylang issue we discussed earlier. But before I assume that, are there any tables with images listed under Media > Image Sources?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

In the Media > Image Sources section, the top part is:
“All images found in the frontend have sources assigned.”

There is an additional images section which says:
“ISC found image URLs that are not part of the media library.”
Some of the images are part of the plugins that I installed. There are also some images belonging to Media but is already credited. I checked the images in the server’s folder and there is no duplicate.

I’m also using an image optimizing plugin, EWWW Image Optimizer to convert images to webp format. But the file listed in the “Additional Images” section points to the original image that was uploaded, not to the converted files.

As for Polylang, I have already turned off the media module so I don’t think that is the cause.

After I add a new image, with all the credits properly entered, the message is gone.

    Thanks for the detailed description!

I was able to reproduce the issue. The missing-sources warning is also showing up for images not part of the media library. I will dig deeper into our history to see if I had a reason to do that or just missed it.

    Thanks!

    Hey lioioil,

I just wanted to let you know that I am going to change the warning about missing sources to not include the “Additional Images.”

I will be able to work on this after my next week’s vacation.

Thanks for making me aware of this!

    Hey @lioioil,

I looked deeper into this and found that my first assumption was wrong. The “Additional images” section should not cause a warning about missing images.

Do you see the “Images with empty sources” section under Media > Image Sources, or any other section above “Debug”?

    Thanks,
    Thomas
