• good afternoon
    I have a problem
Inspired by the new editor, I put a lot of plugins on my site.
    I’m talking about blocks))
In particular, I installed the Ghost Kit, because at the time of its installation, he alone knew how to adjust the visibility of the block depending on what you were looking at (that is, for example, the block could not be shown on the mobile)
Since then, a lot has changed – and some other plugins now have such functionality.
I would like to deactivate this block (fewer blocks, less chance of hacking sites and indirectly, better website performance, and less load on the server) – however- at least I don’t remember which pages I have activated on it ((
    and I have 1100 pages (((
so I would like to ask developers to make it possible:
when removing a plugin, a message about where exactly on the site this plugin is used so that it would be possible to follow the links in this message and delete / redo the corresponding pages.

If something similar exists, please, throw me a link))
    thank

  • This sounds similar to using shortcodes, and needing to know which plugin provided it and where it was used. There is a plugin for that, though, AMR Shortcodes.
Perhaps there is one for blocks now, or you can modify that plugin to do the search for block markup and register_block* instead.

However, the block plugins should only be affecting the editor, not the front end. If the block has dynamic data, though, it is like a shortcode, and needs to be active for the block to work. (this is why we don’t want themes to supply blocks)

@kobzew, If the block just outputs HTML, there shouldn’t be a problem. It should just convert to regular HTML in the page. A block that hides based on screensize may be a bit more tricky.

I recently found this plugin that help identify which blocks are being used on which pages. Maybe this might help?
