  • Fatal error: Call to undefined function mfn_opts_get() in /home2/e559246/public_html/wp-content/themes/bretheon/header.php on line 21

Shows you did not switch to the default theme.
    Follow Tara’s instructions.

This is using the default TwentyFifteen and same with twentyfourteen theme with ONLY s2activated!

Thanks Kmessinger, I did follow her instructions to the letter and have re-demonstrated this above.

Looking at the source code, this is above the DOCTYPE,

<b>Warning</b>: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'c_ws_plugin__s2member_pro_rsf_files' not found in <b>/home2/e559246/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php</b> on line <b>496</b>

Nothing can be above the DOCTYPE.

How did you get rid of s2 plugin? Disable it and remove files or just delete it?

    Thanks Tara and kmessinger

I tried disabling it, and followed instructions. This did not work. I then deleted the plug in and reinstalled it. Each time it gives the same errors.

I will review the document that Tara has linked to. I did not build this site, but am starting to see what has been done.

Thank you both for your help (and patience) and wishing you a happy new year!

If all fails. my suggestion would be to try MANUAL updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old copies of files & folder on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.
If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong.
