• Hi I’m getting this error in all my sidebars, sometimes it goes away if I put widgets in or change them, but can’t consistently remove them
They first appeared when I changed my sidebar.php template files including some of the “if sidebar exists” type stuff, but not immediately, so I’m not sure this is responsible. They are appearing in unrelated themes and also when I reinstall the theme from scratch.
Running multisite and I wonder if it might be due to the large number of sites, but not sure.

Warning: array_key_exists() [function.array-key-exists]: The second argument should be either an array or an object in /home/myname/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 858

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
