• Hi,

I just did a fresh install of WP. When trying to add plugins I get the following message:

Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /wp-admin/includes/wp-plugin-install.php on line 53

Searching for any plugin gives empty results.

I have the following plugins installed:

    WordPress SEO
    Adrotate
    iPhorm Builder
    WP Socializer
    Akismet
    Gigpress

Deactivating the plugins hasn’t helped at all. Please advise.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Tried doing all the above. The warning message continues to show up. Unable to add any plugin
