• 5-stars are for the great support!

    What happened:

    If you buy this plugin, you will be charged every year with:
    “without any exception we have a NO REFUND policy.” in the Terms and Conditions
    They won’t send you a email prior to charge your PayPal.
    It’s one of the very few automatic subscription that I missed to cancel. And I’m usually very careful about those subscriptions.

    But, they refund me the plugin after I explained the situation in a record short time. So those 5-stars are for the support and the way they handle the incident. It was perfect! Thank you Michael Torbert! Keep the support on this level.

    I can’t review the plugin itself because we are not using it.

    I’m sorry you’ve had a negative experience.

    To be clear, this is a free plugin, and has no yearly charge.
    The Pro version, which is not hosted on this site, like most paid plugins, is a subscription.

    While we on paper have a no refund policy in lieu of a free trial (since the free version suffices as a “free trial”), the reality is that if you contact us we do typically issue refunds when requested on a case by case basis.

    That’s disgusting in 2019

    That’s how software for sale has been for years and virtually every plugin and theme that has a “pro” version does exactly that. The GPL is about software distribution, it is not about charging for support. There is nothing that is contradictory to the GPL for that model.

    @jdembowski : Thank you for your moderation. Yes, I know how it works, just that it’s already the second year that I was charged without noticing it. Could improve in the communication, to keep it at the level of the excellent support.
