Warning! Breaks with BP 3.0

The fix for this is to change line 153 onwards of bp-xprofile-custom-fields-type.php as follows:

Thanks for the code, one contributor has provided solution to the array/string on bp site.

With the above workaround, some issues can be resolved but looking forward for BP formal patch for the issue.

This plugin works well with the above changes, thanks to the author.

Just to clarify, Our version is available with a few new field types and more stable code(we completely rewrote the plugin instead of forking), on wordperss.org too

To me it is still throwing the same error message – BuddyPress Xprofile Custom Fields Type plugin needs BuddyPress 2.5, please install or upgrade BuddyPress.

You should delete the old plugin. That line is not coming from our plugin. You most probably have the old plugin still active.

You will need to migrate settings for a few field types(date, min max, decimal etc). Please see https://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-xprofile-custom-field-types/#migrate

Migration of settings is required since the old plugin was storing settings as child options which was technically a bad choice.
