Warning: Brightcove does not support their own plugin

That is my experience as well. I was evaluating setting up a $1500/year account with them, and they wouldn’t help get this plugin working. In my opinion, you should use Vimeo. You can get better support in their forums than you can get through an account rep at Brightcove and you will only pay $200/year for it…

And it looks better.

And the API is WAY better.

If you ARE interested in using Vimeo, I built a Vimeo upload field that works with Advanced Custom Fields with a portion of the money my client saved by not using Brightcove. You download it for free: https://bitbucket.org/jupitercow/acf-vimeo-uploader-field

It requires a pro account, and setting up an “app” with upload access, but it allows you to let users upload to your account.

If there is interest, I am definitely open to customizing it for more uses.
