Warning: Can not modify header information

  • Can anyone shed some light on this? Below is the notification I get when trying to login to WP 3.9.2. that I have upgraded to today. I have tried countless suggestions on this forum and still no luck. No plugins are active and I can not access my website.

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home3/robbo31/public_html/mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/mio/sp-framework/functions/utils.php:949) in
    /home3/myname/public_html/mydomain.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 899

  • Have you tried renaming the ‘mio’ theme folder? After you use your ftp client to rename just the ‘mio’ theme folder, visit your site at yoursite.com/wp-admin -or- /wp-login.php and see if you can log back in.

    That should force the default WordPress theme to take over and let you back into the dashboard.

    Thanks Clayton, i have just tried that and now I can login to the dashboard again. This solution no doubt highlights an issue with the theme itself, would it not?
