• As I don’t know how to code a design, did I order 2 designs for 2 websites. I found this new designer that I hadn’t tried out.
I got the finished designs 30. November and I activated them yesterday, 1. December, when suddenly I was logged out of wordpress and not able to sign in to any of them.

It keeps saying 4-5 times a page:
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home3/name/public_html/wp-content/themes/FabulousGrabeel ver christmas/functions.php:242) in /home3/name/public_html/wp-login.php on line 431, login.php on 444, pluggable.php on 935, pluggable.php on 936, pluggable.php on 937.

How do I solve this? I already contacted the designer and she said I should contact my host, but I’m having a feeling it’s more of a coding problem.
I would prefer to keep the designs and not delete them for good. But I don’t like not being able to access wordpress.
I’m also using the latest wordpress version and got all the updates.

  • This sounds like a core issue – not a theme one. To confirm this, try:
    – switching to the default theme automatically by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

@esmi: I managed to get access again after renaming the theme. So, I logged into wordpress and deactivated all plugins, but it keeps saying the same, about a header, but now is says pluggable.php on line 1207 and before that, it said something about login.php..

I’m not really sure what to do and I’m afraid that I’m only making it worse ??

It could still be a plugin issue. Please try the second suggestion I gave above.

@esmi: I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but the plugin thing doesn’t seem to help..
Is it maybe something you have time to look at? You sound like you know what’s going on and what to do? ??

We cannot access your site here. What method did you use to reset the plugins?

Have you tried re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and the wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress? Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

@esmi: I logged into wordpress and deactivated all my 4 plugins and than I was blocked again and couldn’t do more..

But one thing at a time.. What do I do first? (And please be patient with me :))

Try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin. Preferably the latter, if you manage it.

    (@snuppynusser)

I think I deactivated it now through file manager, as I’m not familiar with phpMyadmin.. I renamed the folder to what the page said..

I’m just not sure, as I still can’t access wordpress..
    So, what’s next?

Are you seeing any error messages?

Somehow, I’m having troubles replying to this topic? My messages doesn’t wanna appear after posting?

But yes, I still get these:

My messages doesn’t wanna appear after posting?

Some of your posts are getting caught in the forum’s spam filter and have to be cleared manually. If it happens again, please just wait a while and it will eventually appear.

Looking at the messages above, you still haven’t activated the default 2015 theme. FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & rename the wp-content/themes/fg3_wtd folder to wp-content/themes/fg3_wtd-old

    Thread Starter snuppynusser

    (@snuppynusser)

    Oh.. Sorry..
I actually did rename it ‘-old’, but than the page went all blank and white. Not even a standard theme and as I got access again, I activated another theme instead, which I didn’t have problems with before… But I guess that was a bad idea and that the page is supposed to be blank?

Re-upload a fresh, unpacked, copy of the theme’s folder to wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

Done. Reuploaded the new theme and extracted the .zip..
But still no access to wp and still the same warnings as posted..

According to the error messages posted above, you are still using the fg3_wtd theme. Are you sure you are renaming the correct folder – wp-content/themes/fg3_wtd ?
