    Hi, I am running the Symetrio theme and recently upgraded to the latest WordPress 5.3.2 and now I am getting the following error at the top of every page.

    Warning: Declaration of WTR_Walker_Page::walk($elements, $max_depth) should be compatible with Walker::walk($elements, $max_depth, …$args) in?/www1/f8c/www.aestheticathletics.co.uk/web/wp-content/plugins/wonster-custom-type-symetrio/functions/widget/widget-menu.php?on line?385

    Can anyone assist? I’m not that great with tampering with code at all, happy to give someone the login details if necessary. I disabled the plugin ‘Wonster Custom Type and Widgets – Symetrio Edition’ and the issue resolved but I then lost functionality on the site that is needed. I tried to restore from an older backup but the plugin doesn’t allow me to go back.

    Thank you in advance.

  • As your theme is a commercial product, please reach out to their support channels at:

    You might simply need to update your theme to the latest version, or they can assist you further.

    Thank you.

    I think they will charge for asking their support but if that’s the way forward then so be it.

    Also I have downloaded their latest update as I hope this can help, but when I log into WP there is no automated way to update the theme. How can I update manually without losing all my customisation?

    Cheers,

    Usually you should be able to set up a license key from your Theme Forest account to be able to access automated updates directly from your WP Dashboard. Please refer to your theme’s documentation.

    Otherwise, you can simply upload and overwrite the files of your theme from the archive you’ve downloaded. You’ll need to access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and upload the files.

    See if this resolves your issue.

    You are a star.

    This has worked, sorry if I wasted your time, many thanks again.
