  • Hi Sagar,

This is happening due to the forms fields having the same default name and they, unfortunately, repeat in different forms at the moment.
It’s something our devs are currently working on and we will have it fixed with the next update.

    Cheers,
    Predrag

    Hello @sagardesai

Most probably will be included in the next update but I can’t provide any estimated time on this. Please keep an eye for any update notification on your site and you’ll find all information in plugin’s changelog. Also, remember to backup before any updates and keep your sites up-to-date as all versions included fixes and further improvements.
This in case we miss updating this thread when the time comes. ??

    Thank you,
    Dimitris

    Hi Dimitris,

I will do. Thank you for support.

    Regards,
    Sagar

Why is this ticket marked as resolved? We’re up-to-date with the plugin and we have the same problem.
“Name” and “email” are quite the common fields to use in a form, I would say.

    Hello @neejoh

I trust you are doing well!

This ticket is marked as resolved most likely because the author that created it in a first-place has marked it like this.

The issue with duplicate IDs is not resolved yet, but it is set as high propriety, so a new fix will be released soon.

If you have any further questions, per www.ads-software.com regulations, please open a new thread, so the original author will no the spammed with notification emails.

    Have a good day!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

Has this issue been fixed at all? I have 18 console alerts due to this.

    Hello @decorateitapparel ,

I apologize for the delay on our end. I am checking with the developers what is the status of this task.

    kind regards,
    Kasia

I’ve recently logged a support ticket on this issue. It appears it was raised nearly a year ago now.

We have 19 console errors mentioning non unique id’s for forminator.

Is there an update since this thread hasn’t been updated for 3 months yet the issue is still apparent?

    Thank you.

    Hi @jamesround86

I’m really sorry that this is taking so long. I can confirm that it’s still an active issue (I mean that it wasn’t ignored or dismissed) but I don’t have an ETA on this.

I asked our Forminator developers if they could prioritize this one a bit so hopefully we should get it addressed soon with one of upcoming releases.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

Well @wpmudev-support8, you and I have a different understanding of the word ignored ?? It has been over a year and nothing has been done about this. To me, that falls in the category ignored.

It’s no rocket science to make unique id’s for elements. I mean, instead of forminator-field-name-1 they can use forminator-form-12-field-name-1 for form number 12. Or any other fix would work for us.

Yes, there is the drawback of backwards compatibility for people that target the “old” (non-unique) with custom javascript but waiting longer only makes that list longer too.

Could you please have another word with the devs?

Hey there, @neejoh, thank you for following up.

I apologize for the delay on this one, I have just checked with the devs, and they mentioned that the issue is a little complicated as the fix affects other features in Forminator, we need to release a new version with improvements and test the suggested fix to make sure it will not affect it, and then it will be released.

Again, we apologize for the long delay on this one.

    Regards,

    Jorge
