• Simple Tags is creating an error or conflict that presents a large amount of “Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty” errors for particular files.

    The errors that appear are:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/wp-includes/post.php on line 825

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/wp-includes/cache.php on line 350

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/wp-includes/cache.php on line 358

Warning: Illegal offset type in /home/wp-includes/cache.php on line 361

Warning: Illegal offset type in /home/wp-includes/cache.php on line 431

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in /home/wp-includes/cache.php on line 433

The way it happens is by going to the “All Posts” listing.
Then click one of the Tags for a post.
The list above is a result.

Another way to create similar errors is by going to Post Tags, and clicking on the post numbers under that Post Tags.

Its been like this since 2.0 beta 9.

I tried only having Simple Tags active and clicking a tag like I did before — It still did the same thing.

These are the plugins I have active:

    AddThis Social Bookmarking
    All in One SEO Pack
    AZIndex
    Categories to Tags Converter Importer
    Comment Rating
    Custom Smilies
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Feeds Widget
    Organize Series
    pb-embedFlash
    Random Redirect 2
    Recently Updated Posts
    Register Plus Redux
    Simple Tags
    Simple Taxonomy
    WordPress.com Stats
    WP-CMS Post Control
    WP-DownloadManager
    WP-PageNavi
    WP-Polls
    WP-PostRatings
    WP-UserOnline

I’m seeing this error as well. What’s more, after I upgraded to the latest version of Simple Tags, all my categories disappeared from the backend and front end, as did the tags.

They are still in the database, but are not being pulled. I switched to the default theme, checked the DB, repaired the DB, de-activated Simple Tags, de-activated ALL plugins, and nothing.

FYI, my database issue was not related to SImple Tags. The Database server was taking a beating and this was causing some seriously bizarre things. Things quitted down and we’re back.

    This error, however:

Warning: Illegal offset type in isset or empty in ~/wp-includes/post.php on line 825

    Is still happening.

I go to post tags > then click on the number that indicates how many posts are associated with any tag and it pops up on the screen.
