I just updated the plugin to the latest version 2.3.2.
The good news is that the relative path URL bugs appears to be fixed.
The bad news is now I started experiencing this exact same issue found here – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/visual-editor-buttons-tinymce-changed?replies=6.
After upgrading to 2.3.2, the TinyMCE Editor toolbar in the Custom Field Template textarea type has changed. There is no longer a button to add hyperlinks and there are two “Formats” menus in the first and second toolbar. There is also a new “File” menu that has the option “New document” that wasn’t there before.
Upgrade at your own peril.
