Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /nas/content/live/mcsoss/wp-

  • Trying to import a blogger XML file into a WordPress site hosted by WP Engine.

    I get Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /nas/content/live/mcsoss/wp-content/plugins/blogger-importer/blogger-importer.php on line 227 when I turn on WP_DEBUG.

    Basically, I can upload the XML file and it appears to import, I can see it stored in the database, but after the import I get a “Submit” button and clicking that provides a message that again indicates that the import worked, but there are no new posts, and they’re not in the database either (again, just the XML file can be seen as having been uploaded as an attachment in the database).

    How large is the file?

    It was 11.9MB.

    I was able to upload it to a WordPress.com account, get it all in there, export it and get it back into my self-hosted WP install, but some weird things happened all around, like things being put into a category that had the name of the XML file, and some other stuff being put into an Uncategorized category that nothing should have been in.

    Happy with my workaround but maybe that’ll help others, and would love to hear if you had any other input Otto.
