    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wp-includes/update.php on line 267

    Generally I search until I find an issue for such problems however this one is eluding me.

    This happened on the 3.7.1 update, across 5 or so websites I run. I assume it is a combination of 2 or more plugins, as searching doesn’t provide anything recent I can find.

    I also think perhaps this is WordPress SEO by Yoast and possibly Bulletproof Security. As I was getting wpseo errors during update and bulletproof is the only plugin to deal with permissions, which is apparently got something to do with this error according to a couple posts I found back in WordPress version 2.3

    Since this error effects the update.php I see no plugin or theme updates, and haven’t seen any updates since the 3.7.1 update.

    anyone have any ideas?

    I found the culprit. Unfortunately… one of the most handy plugins.

    Paid plugin “truely free SEO pix (social media edition)”

    I have the same issue, and it doesn’t matter what the plugin in. Anytime I try to install any new plugin I get this error. I thought it was a specific plugin as well, because I deactivated the most recent one I had added and it got rid of the error. But then I added a totally different plugin and the error came back.

    This error causes my widgets to freeze and be unchangeable.

    That plugin was not my most recent plugin. That plugin was the plugin that broke when WordPress updated to the latest version (I assume by changing the way plugins and themes are checked for updates).

    You have to disable each and every plugin one at a time to find which is causing the issue. I can guarantee it will be a plugin and not WordPress. WordPress update is the cause of the issue but a plugin is the problem.

    Additionally this error causes WordPress to display 0 plugin updates available when there are updates available.

    So it’s not really an error you can ignore.
