Warning Message about WP security

  • First time I’ve seen this message :

    Warning: An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with www.ads-software.com or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums. (WordPress could not establish a secure connection to www.ads-software.com. Please contact your server administrator.) in /home/franklin/public_html/taxprep/wp-includes/update.php on line 457

    What does this mean? What should I be doing to correct this?

    This error is likely due to an issue with yours’/ hosts’ server. If your site is on a remote server, try contacting your hosting provider about this. Likely reasons you get it (but not limited to):
    – your site isn’t handling HTTPS calls to WordPress properly.
    – curlSSL not being up to date on your server.
