When I click on Appearance/Customize, this message flashes before getting to the customizer screen:
Warning: cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at …..(URL) in (URL) on line 126.

The error is coming from the Admin Site Enhancements plugin: https://imghostr.com/2026fd_a51

Everything in the customizer seems to be working fine, but obviously there’s some sort of problem in the background. I checked and I do not have wp_debug turned on. I also updated PHP versions to see if that would fix it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thank you for reporting this issue. I tested on a fresh WP install with ASE installed, Kadence theme active, and Debug Log Manager ready to log errors. However, I can’t see the error when opening Customizer.

Can you share how ASE’s Admin Interface modules are configured for your site?

Here are the settings I’m using. If I didn’t screenshot a page it’s because I don’t have any of those settings activated.

I am experiencing this same (or similar) PHP WARNING message when using ‘Appearance/Customize’ to switch to the Divi theme customizer screen. In my case, I have isolated ‘a’ source of this PHP WARNING message as using the “Hide Admin Notices” option listed in the “Admin Interface” ASE PRO menu. You can review the details in my Support ticket “ASE PRO 6.5.0 PHP WARNING with Divi”.

Are you using the ASE “Hide Admin Notices” option?

@socialsparkmedia @elonreynolds thanks to Elon’s outstanding investigative work, I’ll put in place a mechanism to disable Hide Admin Notices when a page is viewed on the frontend, like it is in the Customizer preview. Hopefully this will fix it. Please test it once a new version is released, probably later today.

@elonreynolds @qriouslad Yes, I did have Hide Admin Notices activated. When I deactivated, the message no longer pops up. Thanks for firguring this out!

@elonreynolds?@qriouslad I guess I should’ve updated before I sent the last message. After updating to ver 6.5.1, clearing the cache and viewing the customizer again, I am still getting the error when the Hide Admin Notices is turned on. https://app.screencast.com/6EAJARxUkDSGE

Also tried in Firefox, just to be sure it wasn’t a caching issue.

@socialsparkmedia thanks for testing further. I’ll try to push another potential fix in the next release (probably early next week). I have no way of testing whether it works as I can’t replicate the issue on my set up. Your patience is appreciated.

Yep. Please note that the recent ASE PRO 6.6.0 update did not resolve the persistent PHP WARNING message displayed when using the “Hide Admin Notices” option.

This should (finally!) be fixed in the next release. Please test again when you see it.
