  • Waiting for the official fix.

Thanks jrf for your work and dedication to this project. The committed fix worked like a charm. When the next official version is released, will WordPress prompt us to update, or will we need to monitor the site for the release?

having the same problem – upgraded to 3.7, getting the error/warning message with new plugin installations – thanks for the fix! And @yoast: get those devs on it! ??

Is the idea that the development version of the plugin needs testing before it is submitted to the WordPress repository or are we waiting on WP people to approve it? (If that is even the way it works?)

@rio Grande Citizen: please check your plugins page, as version it should say ‘1.4.19-beta’. If so, you should get an upgrade notice when the new official version is out.

@robthecomputerguy: testing dev versions is always needed and appreciated. The WP people do not test or approve plugin updates, they stay well away from that ??
    The ‘wait’ is because:
    a) this is a totally non-critical issue, so a quick release is not needed and
    b) 3.7 is only just out and 3.7.1 is now already released, which confirms there are some issues with the 3.7 release. There may be issues which impact WP SEO more seriously and it’d be better if those are found/reported and fixed first.

the last update seems to have solved the issue. thanks!

Not for me. Just updated to 1.4.19 and the issue remains.

@mike – the issue is solved in 1.4.19, the only time you will still see the message is when you upgrade the WPSEO plugin as at that time you are still using the old version, any new upgrades of themes and plugins should not give the error message.
