I just received 2 warnings about 2 different sites where Wordfence detected a file change (readme.txt) in a plugin (Shortcodes Ultimate). The sites are on 2 different servers.

What should I do? Should I just remove the file? Or is there something else I should do or worry about?
    Thank you.

  • Check the comparison between the file you have installed and the version Wordfence is drawing from the repository. Often plugin authors make changes to the readme.txt files but don’t push an update. So it may be as innocent as:
tested up to WordPress version 4.1 –> tested up to WordPress version 4.1.1
