Thank you! The update solved the issue, but my default online payment option disappeared when this plugin was active, so I stopped using it.

kindly open a separate ticket for the issue you have.
Maybe your theme (or another plugin) is messing/conflicting with it?
To troubleshoot, disable all plugins but WooCommerce and also switch temporarily to “Twenty Twenty-Two” theme – does it work?
If yes, you have a conflict with your current theme or one of the plugins.
