I got this email in my inbox and it showed me the theme that was altered. But nowhere is there any other information like what has been altered? What file? What line?

    Where can I see this?

    Thanks.

OK, I see that in the wizard it shows me which file if I click on it. I suggest that the default view is already dropped and not that you need to click on it. As it is a bit confusing?

However, there is no mention of what line is changed?

I suppose this would be a false positive because the file is the functions.php file of a child theme and I have of course modified the functions.php file according to my needs and it is different from the original.

BTW. I am on the PRO version.

    Hi, thanks for your questions.

For pro customers, and future requests, we have a dedicated support portal you can reach us on here: https://support.onedollarplugin.com/form
As these forums aren’t the appropriate venue for Pro subscription support.

As to this issue, we’ll be releasing Shield v7 in the coming weeks to address the lack of transparency in scan results etc. and to generally make things much easier.

The scanner doesn’t keep a track of file contents – this would be a huge undertaking and not really efficient. If you’ve modified your theme files, then the alert is legitimate. It’s not a “false positive” because it’s not alerting to a “hacking event”, it’s alerting to alterations made to your theme files which may, or may not, require your closer inspection. If you know you’ve made these changes, you can click to ignore this warning.

The purpose of this monitor is to alert to potentially unintended file modifications.

OK, I still haven’t registered on that forum…

One things that is baffling me though is that I received this alert yesterday (and I indeed made no changes on that day) but when I look at the file, the last modified date was 26th of December. The file itself looks ok too.

Something isn’t right there, apparently with the shield plugin?
