After upgraded to 4.6 when saving a page I get the following,

Warning: strtolower() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home2/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 1870

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home2/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php:1870) in /home2/XXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1174

I’ve de-activated all plugins to isolate the issue to be this plugin alone.

    Thanks,

    Dave

  • Same exact thing here.

The error message came up while updating posts. The changes took but the warning screen resulted.

Daily Dish theme on Genesis. I was able to isolate it as above and deactivating the plugin resolved the issue.

    Hi,

Please try activating a standard WordPress theme for a while (Twenty Fourteen, Twenty Fifteen) and check if the problem remains.

I have activated the Twenty Fifteen theme, and receive the same error.

Thanks for the tip, davemgraham. I was having the same issue, i.e. whenever I would update a published page I’d get that same error. When I deactivated Google Sitemap by BestWebSoft, the problem went away. Please note, bestwebsoft, that I did not have the problem with posts, only with pages. Unfortunately, the site is all pages. (I updated a test post as an experiment.)

The guys at BestWebSoft suggested to restore the plugin settings to the default ones, and the problem gets resolved.

the same happens to me, I had to disable this plugin. Started giving this error after upgrading to wp 4.6, using version 4.7 here and problem persists.

    Please, fix your plugin!

    HI!! That’s right.
