• One of my clients has 3 Mailpoet campaigns running consisting of timed welcome mails. Together they contain a total of 120 mails. After the 4.41.3 update there’s a reassuring message on the Mailpoet emails page saying:

“We moved your existing Welcome and WooCommerce emails to Automations. Rest assured, all your automations are still actively running.”

On the new automations page are only 18 emails. The rest is gone. This is a disaster for this clients business. How can you launch an update that does this without any warning? The automation page says it is beta. Are you using your existing paying customers, the ones that made your plugin grow, as beta testers?

We have to restore a backup of the site from before this disastrous update, go through the hassle of exporting and importing inbetween orders, and then we will set the Mailpoet plugin to not update anymore until this is fixed.

    Hello there @wpwebbouw,

We appreciate your email and fully understand the level of concern caused by your experience after the update to version 4.41.3 of MailPoet. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you and your client’s business.

We would like to clarify that we have not received similar reports from other clients following this update, suggesting that the issue might be specific to your client’s setup. This, however, does not lessen its urgency or significance, and we are eager to investigate this matter further.

Could you please provide more details on the configuration of the lost emails, particularly if these emails were set up as part of drip campaigns to be released at definite intervals? It’s possible that some of the missing emails could have been merged into one workflow during the transition, thereby resulting in fewer items showing in the Automations tab.

We also want to clarify that while the Automation feature is labeled as ‘beta,’ it does not imply that the function is flawed or still undergoing testing. We’ve used the ‘beta’ tag to indicate that we continue to add new features and improvements to make the tool more robust and helpful for users like you.

Regardless of this unforeseen incident, we are committed to making this right and ensuring that MailPoet continues to deliver efficiency and value to your client’s operations. Additional information from your end would be beneficial for us to help diagnose and correct the issue.

We look forward to your reply with any further information that you can provide.
