  • Getting the same thing on my admin area now. Essentially crippled my ability to do anything on the admin side. I removed this file, but it had no effect.

Removing wp-cache-config solves the problem Naturally a backup is needed.
Rename wp-cache-config.php to wp-cache-config.php2 so you can temporarily disable WP Super Cache.

I have the same problem. I deleted the plugin but it won’t activate. It always gives the warning message but it is the plugin creating the file it is moaning about!

    Hi all,

We’ve just updated WP-Optimize to v3.0.17, which had a bug, and is likely to be the cause of your problem (if you updated it today).

    To fix it, using FTP,
    – delete wp-optimize
    – then delete advanced-cache.php
    – WP Super Cache should then be able to fix itself

We’re about to release WP-Optimize v3.0.18 which fixes the issue, so when it’s out you can re-install it (your settings will remain).

    Sorry for that!

    Marc.

    Hi @marcusig ,
I updated WP-Optimize v3.0.18 without doing what you suggested to me because I haven’t read your post.
But now I have the same problem that others have written before.
What do you think i should do, now?
    Thank you in advance

    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,
Using FTP, try deleting the file advanced-cache.php (it’s in the folder wp-content).
Then you should be able to access your admin panel again (WP Super Cache will re-generate the required file for caching to work).

    Marc.

    Thanks

I’ll wait for the updated WP-optimise.

On the plus side, I looked at my error logs and realised that WordPress was running out of memory all the time so upped that.

    Every cloud…

    Hello @marcusig,
today WordPress tells me that the wp-content folder is writable and that I have to change the permissions chmod 755.
I did it and some tests and now everything seems ok.
    Thanks for the support
