Warning! You CAN’T get rid of it!

  • Nightmare theme! This is an “okay” theme if you want to pay for the upgrade and never plan to change your theme EVER! Once installed you can’t make changes to the CSS to customize. If you install it, you cannot get rid of it with a typical ‘delete’ of the theme. It lives in many of your files without an easy way to locate them and clean it from your site. The files still try to load, even with the theme gone. It calls on hooks and slows down your website (still trying to load large images from zakra.com that are not optimized).

    The only option to get it out of your WordPress files is to start over with a completely new install of WordPress. You have to start your site from scratch! All your files, content, images….

    I don’t know how I’m only the second person to leave a one-star review when A LOT of people are complaining of the same thing in the help forums. Zakra support lacks adequate assistance other than, “sucks to be you, start your site over.”

    Let me address your complaints one by one. Please correct me if I’m mistaken.

    Yes, you can add custom CSS from customizer as instructed here: https://docs.zakratheme.com/en/article/how-to-add-custom-css-1tz5vyt/

    If you install it, you cannot get rid of it with a typical ‘delete’ of the theme
    It seems you’ve imported one of our demos. If yes, the imported content are posts, pages, and image which imports while importing demo site, which is obvious. If you want to delete those imported content as well, you can use reset plugins available in the WordPress plugin repository.

    You can completely switch to another theme if you want, there is no restriction on that. We’ve followed WordPress theme guidelines and we ensure that Zakra only affects the design of the site.

    Most of the themes on .org provide demo site import features and it is not compulsory. You can start your site from start. It is just an additional feature provided by the theme so that you do not need to design your site from scratch.

    Finally, while checking for your query on the .org forum, I do not see any query asked. If you had asked, we’ll definitely help you with your queries.
