Warnings after activating WP Automatic plugin

Problem: Installed WP-Automatic plugin successfully, but while activating it, throws 2 warinings:
Warning: time() expects exactly 0 parameters, 1 given in /home/customer/www/xxxxxxxxxxx.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-automatic/updated.php on line 33
Warning: A non-numeric value encountered in /home/customer/www/xxxxxxxxxxx.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-automatic/updated.php on line 89
steps taken without success so far: 1. Deleted updated.php file causing the plugins page to crash. Restored the file and everything is back to where it was with the warnings
2. Downgraded WP to an earlier version of 4.9.1, but issue remained. Upgraded it back to 5.4.1
