I had a noticed on my website’s WordPress Dashboard that said I needed to “update the Woocommerce database.” After I clicked the link to do that I got all these warning messages (see below). They were visible in my dashboard, as well as on the website for all visitors to see. I quickly went in and deactivated all my woocommerce plug-ins. That action got rid of the warnings, but ruined my site’s menu options. I’m not sure why deactivating my Woocommerce plug-ins would disorganize my menu?

I then activated the main Woocommerce plug-in and that restored the menu and fortunately the warnings did not show up. I then activated each of the other Woocommerce plug-in one by one and when I activated the product add-ons plug-in the warning messages came back. What’s going on with this? The warnings are below.

I have again deactivated the WooCommerce Product Add-on plugin until the problem can be corrected. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to us, can you please confirm you are using the BizSwoop Product Add-ons plugin? WooCommerce offers a Product Add-on plugin and other developers as well.

The reason we flag to confirm, the warning messages for example:

    srv/users/thecreationspeaks-com/apps/visualverse-thecreationspeaks/public/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-product-addons/includes/class-product-addon-cart.php`

The message includes the slug of woocommerce-product-addons, the slug used for our BizSwoop plugin is the following product-add-ons-woocommerce.

We also went to review the file class-product-addon-cart.php, but our plugin doesn’t have a file name matching this file name in our directory.

Let’s first confirm we are the developer for the plugin you are using. If yes, can you do the following:

Can you deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce and BizSwoop Product Add-ons. Now with only those two plugins active, does the error message still occur?

If the warning messages are not showing, one-by-one activate a new plugin until the error messages occur again. We’d suspect the errors are related to a conflict occurring between Product Add-ons plugin and another plugin used on your website.

Nope. Sorry. It’s the Woocommerce one. I didn’t realize more than one plugin developer made a plugin with a similar name. When I searched for “WooCommerce product add-ons” your plug-in was the first one that came up and I figured that was the developer I needed to contact.

    Thanks for your time,

It’s funny. I just went back and search the list and went all the way to page 5 and I still can’t find that specific plug-in made by Woocommerce.

Sounds like we have some good SEO. ??

Check out this one listed on WooCommerce extension store:

    https://woocommerce.com/products/product-add-ons/

Since it’s an official plug-in by WooCommerce, you should be able to submit a request here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/product-add-ons/ with the help desk. Good luck!

Thank you! I did eventually find it on their website too, but I never paid for it. I’m not sure how I ended up with it. Perhaps at one time it was free or there was a promotional.

I checked and everything seems to be working fine for someone to make a purchase on my site, so I’m not even sure why I had that plugin.

Thanks again. If I find myself in need of a product add-ons plugin on my site I’ll surely get yours.

    Pat
