Warnings in PHP error_log
-
Hello John,
I previously wrote about a problem that I’m seeing on my site here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/php-warning-in-error_log-2/ and by accident, I just stumbled upon something that might be the explanation (the old topic is closed, otherwise I would reply there).
It appears that this is a not-too uncommon problem with “virtual” pages in WordPress. I happen to use the “MailPoet” plugin, and its subscription management/confirmation pages happen to be “virtual” (meaning that they are created “on the fly”, as best as I can explain it as a layperson/non developer).
I found these two topics. Maybe this is something that would explain what I’m seeing? 1. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fake-page-doesnt-work-with-wp-6-1/ and 2. https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/virtual-urls-php-8-null-issues/
I know that these are just PHP “warnings” but since my error_log keeps growing and growing I have to remember to zap it every once in a while… ??
Thank you very much,
Alex. The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
