• I found it to be quite shocking that two days before 2.5 was released, it showed 73% complete on the Milestone 2.5 Roadmap’s page. It makes me wonder if they either had a bug correction blitz or simply pre-released it and will be releasing countless bug fixes upgrades.

According to that page, they’re now working on 2.51 which should come out in a month and has 41 active tickets (so far).

    Visit the roadmap page

Man, should have stuck with 2.33, it’s stable and has a lot of useful plugins, guess I should have waited another month or two before upgrading. When will I ever learn? Did the same with phpBB and was so dismayed at all the changes that I switched to SMF. LOL!

I sure hope that the plugin authors will catch up soon, if not, I just might go back to 2.33

    Cheers,
    Gene

I was hoping they release RC1 and RC2 and than the final version BUT each release should have a 1 month interval

Yeh, it’s like a hollywood starlet: Looks great, but doesn’t know how to perform.

    LOL! Excellent comparison…

But as I said in my previous post:

“I found it to be quite shocking that two days before 2.5 was released, it showed 73% complete on the Milestone 2.5 Roadmap’s page”

This really makes me wonder if they only carried the bug fixes over to the next “Milestone 2.51” release. As far as I’m concerned, don’t rush anything, release software only when stable and leave the testing to the hundred of users who downloaded it for testing purposes.

If you read most threads on this forum, they’re mostly about bugs that should have been corrected prior to a public release.
