• This was a great plugin when working, easy to use and implement, but the currency rates are now incorrect. It seems there is a glitch or problem with syncing with Yahoo Finance and the data is not updating. It would be great to see this plugin working again as it was great when working. Thanks!

    REVIEW UPDATE (10th March 2015):

Its now working properly again! Rookie error editing the plugin caused it to break on our end. Great plugin that does exactly what it says and does it well.

    Hi WhiteRiverDesign,

Sorry I’m a bit slow getting back to you.

Do you have a link to a website where this isn’t working, so I can troubleshoot this? If you don’t want to post it here, you can use my contact form here: https://scratch99.com/contact/

Also, which version of the plugin are you using? The latest version, 2.7, which was released on 23rd October 2014, contained the following fix:

Fixed Major Bug: The URL required for the call to Yahoo! Finance changed, so conversions stopped happening.

If you were on an old version, that may be help explain it, although it doesn’t sound exactly like the problem that was fixed.

The latest version is working fine for me, but I’d love to look into this if you could give me some more information. Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Stephen

    Its all working correctly now!

I had put some of the JS code directly into the template to enable the drop-down currency selector to appear in the sidebar area and had hard-coded in the dollar value. Oops!

A currency selector drop-down in the widgets area would be ideal in the future, but I have worked around this myself anyway in the meantime by putting the selector form code directly into the template and passing the page ID as required where necessary. ??

Great plugin! Thanks for your reply Stephen. ??
