Was my site hacked?
-
Dear. Good morning.
I leave this here in case it happened to anyone or could happen to them.
I put them in context:
My site has a “business model” whereby I inform readers of EVERYTHING they need about how to get THEIR job (and NOT another).
But, since I know that – unfortunately – MANY belong to a generation that DOES NOT like to READ, I offer them an alternative which is to learn (almost) the same thing but, through Courses (on video) of which Of course, I am an affiliate.
Ergo, throughout my site, I have links to my sales pages (reviews of said courses), which obviously have affiliate links to the courses in question.
And here comes the “question”…
It turns out that, yesterday, I went to one of these pages and found that… ALL the affiliate links had been deleted!
What’s more, the “work” was so surgical that, for example;
In the next sentence…
Therefore, the Course: How to create your personal brand (See offer), is the perfect example that…
The link was in Course: How to create your personal brand (See offer) and, they “left” it to me like this…
Therefore, the , is the perfect example that…
Another example;
In this other sentence…
To get THOSE jobs, you need to Learn English Easy and FAST (See course).
The link was in Learn English Easy and FAST (See course)
And, they left it like this…
Get THOSE jobs, you need.
Is the concept understood?
What’s more, it also had links embedded in some images and, in these cases, THEY DELETED THE IMAGE directly.
At first, I suspected that it could be some mistake on my part. But…
I could have been wrong on one page, but NOT on 10!
On the other hand, it occurred to my wife that it could be that…
…”They wanted to use your links for themselves”… (Or something like that).
But, that would NOT make sense because, as those who use this affiliate business model know, each link has a UNIQUE identification code.
Ergo. If they wanted to use MY links, as we say around here “they would be feeding ME” (Something I highly doubt, heh:).
On the other hand, if they wanted to be Affiliates of the same courses, they would simply have to register on the same platform and have THEIR own links, heh.
Another thing that occurred to me is that it could be a virus. But…
It’s too “precise” (ONLY the links) and also, I have an antivirus both on the backend side and at the server level.
The 1st He found NOTHING. And the 2nd. only found this (and 13 days ago)

So I ask you:
a) Has it ever happened to anyone?
b) Do you know anyone; hacker/virus/malware/whatever does this?
c) Does anyone know of a way to avoid this?
I await your comments.
From already thank you very much.
Greetings.
P.s: Of course, I ALREADY fixed ALL the links in question and, just in case, I made a (NEW) backup.
And also, BEFORE fixing it, I tried a bunch of other options (For example, restoring my last 6 backups, heh:).
But, I found NOTHING that could have caused this. The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
