Was not able to use to change Domain Name

  • Plug-in gratefully offers a variety of methods to arrive at the same goal, based on one’s comfort level and/or goal.

    Unfortunately, this plug-in did not work for me. It seems that the plugin was confused that I was merely trying to swap two similarly-looking URLs; development and production.

    The Search & Replace “DRY RUN” feature worked well, producing a valuable report which I ended up leveraging to manually complete my goal (see support post below). However, the plugin halted, when attempting to directly update the database, thereafter.

    My Windows hosting platform criteria is as follows, if of any interest:

    • Microsoft-IIS/7.5
    • PHP 5.5.8
    • mySQL 5.6.17
    • WordPress 4.4.2
    • WooCommerce 2.5.5
