• Don’t get me wrong, progress is good and I feel the custom icon set area was improved and I like shortcodes… But need the option, If I want to add it through css content or within external JS it won’t parse the shortcode. Need that back and would be 5-stars.

    Hi Cmisak,

Are you referring to the old HTML that was generated by the plugin? In the new versions of WP SVG Icons the shortcode is getting parsed and rendered as HTML.

You can still grab the html generated by the plugin by inspecting the item in your browser and copying the html. Or better yet, you can just as easily apply the icon classes to any element on your site to get the icon to appear. I can see your frustration, and will see what I can do about getting the html back in.

I was considering adding a toggle in the premium version between shortcode and html so the user has that option of which they’d prefer to use.

Thanks for taking the time to leave some thoughtful input.

    Best,
    Evan

Yeah, a toggle would be good. I know its not necessary but as I train an end user to navigate their icon library to add an icon to a title (I have some plain text areas) that might not support shortcode parsing.
