@endyco – Thanks for taking the time to write a review here, even though it’s not a positive one.
Maybe you’re aware of this, but behind Modula there’s a team of people (https://wpchill.com/about/), each working 168 hours (sometimes more) a month to deliver features, bug fixes, improvements, support, documentation and marketing services.
Each of this person has to be paid, what’s popularly called a salary. As that money has to come from somewhere, we can not offer Modula for free.
However, we do maintain a number of plugins, 100% free, as a way of giving back to the community. For these plugins, we do all of the above, FOR FREE.

I hope my above reply makes sense to you. There’s just no way for us to offer the same level of services and product development FOR free.
P.S: In the plugin’s readme it’s clearly advertised what’s a paid feature and what’s not.
