I tried to set it up. I generated my API key (which it refused to recognize until I regenerated it???) and then refused to recognize the Place ID (which I’ve verified was correct but I still get Sorry, this business does not have a proper Place ID set). I gave up after attempts to read the documentation and search for answers via Google left me more frustrated than when I started. I’ve done everything suggested and still nothing. I would consider paying for the Pro version but TBH I don’t think it’s worth the trouble and the weeks of back-and-forth I would probably have to go thru with the developer to get it working – if that’s even possible. I’ll find something else or another way to do what I want. Between Google’s ever changing settings which are now scattered everywhere and nearly incomprehensible to anyone who doesn’t devote their entire life to the Google ecosystem and this confusingly inconsistent plug-in, I’ve had it.

    Hi there,

Sorry for all your frustrations. Google definitely doesn’t make this easy, and we do our best to make it possible for you to show your reviews on your page. But mostly I’m sorry you didn’t come to us first before spending that time. We support our plugin and have helped hundreds of users navigate the Google API craziness.

Can I help you now? If you want Google reviews on your site, we can make it happen.
