Wasted my time

  • I saw all the great reviews and thought this would be awesome to use. So I installed it and ran the backup, then downloaded the backup file (1.6 GB) to my computer. Installed the plugin on the new site and attempted to import, but no matter what I tried (FTP, URL, File) it wouldn’t do diddly unless I bought an upgrade. I don’t mind buying something I like using, but this really irritated me so I’m going to use another plugin.

    I am sorry for the time wasted.
    We are trying our best to get around server limitations. Some of the server limitations cannot be solved easily and we charge a premium for solving these problems.
    To get around purchasing any of our products, you will need to find a hosting that will allow you to upload 1.6GB file and that will not timeout while the file is being restored.

    Thanks for responding, I do appreciate it! For what it’s worth, I did buy another plugin, BackupGuard Silver, and the backup file migrated without incident.
