Watch out for rogue quotes when you copy/paste!
-
Had a user bring an odd problem to me. I had helped them with the selector syntax to exclude a specific kind of link, and when they pasted the code I gave them into the config and saved, it quit working entirely.
It turns out that the copy/paste process had replaced the ” with a unicode double-quote that was not recognised by jQuery as a valid selector.
So if you paste a selector string in and everything stops working, try retyping the quotes after you paste them in.
